We are planning to camp for the first time in FW this June. How far in advance should we book? I heard the place is huge, but I'm sure it sells out at times. We need a partial hook up site, one pop-up and one tent on the site. Thanks for all info.

If you already know your dates, you should go ahead and book now. We booked our May trip in September.

D I need to pay upfront? I am a FL resident and an annual pass holder, so I'm hoping for a discount, but I'm afraid it's too early.

You'll need to give a one day deposit on a credit card. I don't know about any AP or FL discounts.

It sells out most of the time especially on the weekends. It seems to be getting harder and harder to get a resi for anytime other than 1 or 2 days in the middle of the week. Book now and IF discounts become available you can call back and apply to your resi. We are FL resident ap holders too and have not been able to get any discounts on campsites the last 2 or 3 years.

I agree... book now! You best bet is to call back weekly and look in you local newspaper's travel section for discounts.

Book as soon as you know your dates ... agree that the weekends (especially for partial hook-ups) get booked fast by the locals. One night's deposit for a room only reservation is all that is required.
