How far in advance should room requests be made? How do you submit them?

We're traveling in June to BLT with a 2BR and 1BR. I'd like to request them to be as near to each other as possible. How do I do that? Do I need to call? Is there a way to submit the request through the site to avoid hold times?

The request needs to be made through Member Services for the rooms to be near each, often phrased as aa "traveling with" request for those in the two rooms. The request can be made by phone, by online chat, or via the email feature on the site. As to timing of the request, you can make it at the same time as you make the reservation or thereafter, although making it too close to the date of arrival, such as a week or less out can be too late.

Since you already know what you want, I’d submit your request now. I prefer chat or email via the member website. As drusba says above, give them the two confirmation numbers and ask them to put a “traveling with” notation on them. We did that in January 2020 for our December 2020 family trip, and our two 2 BR villas were right next door to each other. It doesn’t always work out that way, but they’ll do their best to get you close together.

I would put your request in as soon as possible and be specific as to why, 'traveling with, difficulty with stairs,etc'
