How far in advance do you make your Vons/Albertson's order?

Time is ticking down to our trip!

Since I usually make Safeway.com orders the night before I have them delivered, I'm wondering if I should do the same for an order to be delivered while we're at Disneyland, or if it can be done well ahead of time.

I think we're 20ish days out, or so...does anyone ever make their order that far in advance?

I think I scheduled my delivery for Sept. 4th on Monday, so that would have been 15 days in advance that I placed my order. Not sure if that's a typical time frame but I love have everything in order! Plus we had determined what we thought would be the best time for us to receive the delivery so I didn't want to risk missing the time slot we wanted. This is my first time trying this so I am hoping it works out well. It will be nice to save a few bucks and have the added convience of having items we regularly use in our room.

(Almost down to single digits!) :yay:

How hard is it to place an order? I have never bought anything online before. I live in BC so how do I go about filling out the order? Does any one know if Vons carries Lactose free milk? My niece won't drink Soy Milk.

I order from safeway.com all the time, and it's quite easy (safeway = vons, just in different states). Well, I personally don't like the way the website is set up, so I have a little hurdle in that, but not everyone is as picky. :)

I'm not sure about the BC part, b/c I don't know what sort of billing (not that they bill, they charge you, hmm, with safeway they charge you after it has been delivered, with the CC you gave them while ordering) address issues you might have.

Von's is www.vons.com, and I just entered the zip code 92802 into their "browse" section, and I see several types of lactose free milk.

Oh now that is interesting. I just noticed that there are Safeways in Canada. So I went to safeway.ca, put in that same zipcode, and it showed the one in Anaheim. Cool! I just learned that the one closest to Disneyland is on Lincoln, and you can get driving directions if you just want to stop in, or click on the delivery link, which takes you to the main register page.

And, I know this is true for Safeway and *think* it's true for Vons...when you order online, you automatically get the club card savings, even if you don't have one otherwise.

Thanks Bumbershoot! I was able to access the website with the zipcode you posted. Not sure if it is worth it the only things I could come up with was the Lactose Free Milk, carrots and bread (I'll have to go to Safeway and see if any don't have milk in them)!

I'm already bringing juice boxes, dried fruit, crackers with peanut butter, fruit snacks, peanut butter and popcorn. We have a fridge and a microwave and we get a continental breakfast every morning.

Not even sure if I should bother as I'm sure I will need to give her a Lactaid tablet for breakfast as I can't guarentee that the bread or pastries don't have milk in them.

Can we get Vons to deliver a cake from their bakery? :confused3 I LOVE their cakes, and would love that.

I was looking at their site, and they have many cakes, both whole and slices, available to order. My absolute favorite, though one that I can't eat all of in a sitting like I could when DS was getting every bit of nutrition from nursing (which was until he added food at 11 months), is the colossal cake. They don't have that as a whole cake. Then again, does anyone really NEED an entire Colossal Cake?:upsidedow

But I like their simple little slices of cake, too.
