How far in advance do you book your trip?

I've booked as far ahead as the 500 day limit, and I've booked as close as 4 days prior to check in (nothing like that feeling of "next week I'm going to Disney"). It depends on the time of year, how long the trip will be, and if there are any discounts floating around. I wouldn't want any resort codes to go to waste!

3 -4 months.

We generally go on off peal times and AP holder rates come out at the 3 -4 month range of when we want to go.

6-8 months in advance I book. I start checking out resorts a year or so a head of time. My next trip will be at the Dolphin so I don't suppose I will need to check it out much.

We usually book something about a year in advance if we are not staying DVC> We pay the one nights downpayment but you can always change that. For DVC we book at the 11 Mo. mark.

We are planning to return on October of 2008 ourselves. Usually the end of October. Can someone advise me of two things in this thread- what is bounceback referring to and what is free dining- is the same as DDP?

I'm still trying to learn the language....

My problem is, i can't decide between the end of sept 08 and beginning of oct 08. If I book a trip now, if in the spring 08, i change my mind on the week, will i be able to change it (obviously assuming there are rooms available) or will i lose my deposit?
