How Far in Advance Do They Schedule Flights?

I thought that I had made my flight arrangements by this time (9 months out) for our last trip. But I can't find anything for when we are going. We want to go from November 28 to December 5. That is a Monday to Monday. When can I make reservations? And, is it better to fly on a certain day over another?

Some of the airlines allow booking 330 days before the date. I know USAir is that way, I think most of the majors follow that. Low cost airlines like Southwest release dates in blocks.

We booked our flight for 11/12-11/19/05 with Spirit already. SW won't have flight schedules out for a while.

330 is the farthest out I've ever seen. My cell phone is set to sound an alarm in April to get me going on our March 2006 trip.
