How far in advance do dis'ers plan to do a photo pass share?

Can someone please explain how the photpass works, how much it costs and what you get for the money?

You pre-order your cd from the website, then go to the parks. There are photographers everywhere and you just go up to them and get as many photos as you like. The first one you see will give you a card, and you give this card to each subsequent photographer.

You can have as many cards as you like and I recommend you take a picture of the code on the back in case you lose it.

Get as many photos taken as you can.

When you get back, log on to the photopass site and enter your card number/s. Your pictures will come up and you can add characters, signatures and borders to as many as you like. You then order the cd.

If you have too many photos for one cd, they'll just send more than one with no extra charge.

If you want the photo book you can get it much cheaper if you pre-order the cd and the book together. That's what I'll be doing.

If you think that 5 photos bought seperately would cost around the same as the cd, you'll know it's a real bargain. And you've got the added bonus of everyone in every photo rather than the same person behind the camera in every shot (normally me lol).

We will be photopass sharing this October with the friends who we are travelling with. Not sure I would want to join a big group though as there is a limit on how many photopass cards you can add to the account and I wouldn't want to take the risk that something may go wrong and I wouldn't get my pics.

To be honest, it's not that much money especially if you pre order.

I don't want to jump this thread but would somebody just quickly explain how this photopass works and how you book it?

I keep seeing threads about how happy people are but don't really understand it. I would love to end up with family photos of us all.

the link i posted ont his thread somewhere and the poster about 3 posts back explained it.

Also when you get the cd you can just take to boots etc and get them printed as you have the rights to have the printed as many times as you like. We got ours printed at jessops no problem

Well they are right little so and sos to actually charge me postage after saying they wouldn't. This was only about 4 weeks ago.....

We've been in a photoshare twice and it's worked great both times, our last one there was 5 of us in the share and it worked out around 27 dollars each including the postage.
