How far in advance can non-DVC people book deluxe villas?

I just read something that made me scratch my head, and I couldn't find another reference to it. It said something about non-DVC people being unable to book a DVC resort (i.e. 2BR Villas at BCV/BWV/BLT, etc) any earlier than 7 months before the trip. Does that mean that, if I'm going next June, I can't book until NOVEMBER???? If so, I'm gonna die from anticipation!!! I was planning on booking in August!

You can book as soon as Disney allows booking for any hotel rooms for next June. The rooms non-members book directly through Disney Central Reservations are not part of the same inventory of rooms for DVC members and are not bound by the same rules.

DVC members who own at BLT can book BLT 11 months prior to their stay. DVC owners who do NOT own at BLT can book their stay at BLT 7 months prior. That's what the 7 months refers to.

Depends..In general about 10-11 months.I know this b/c I tried to book BCV for December in Jan of this year and it was not available till February for bookings.

think it depends - DVC kepts around 2 to 5% of all the resorts and these can be rented out if DVC expect no problems (they are for problems so DVC can send a guest to another room is a majority problem)

the rest is gotten by trades thru DVC to other places. those are the ones that are not available until the 11 month starts.

so as soon as you can try for it - think it is what 500 days before with CRO (WDTC)

Agree with the 11 month window. We booked our trip last Oct. for Aug. I kept checking the Disney site to see if they were available for our dates and they didn't come up until Oct. As soon as the BWVs was available I had our AAA agent book it with the discount. We book the same time every year so I would start checking at the 11 month point.

If you call Disney's CRO, you can book a DVC villa as a non DVC member for anything in 2011 (at non guaranteed rate). It works the same as booking any resort through CRO. DVC members can only book through the 11/7 month window.
