How far from Disney resorts or parks to Hwy 192 or Crossroads?

We would like to dine outside WDW for a few meals on our trip. Does anyone know how far it is to Hwy 192 or Crossroads plaza?
We are flying and will not have a vehicle, but did not want to pay more for a cab than our meal!! Any info is appreciated!!

(most recently August 2000) and travel time back and forth from WDW property has been around 10min average for us even last year during the much talked about road works.

You will be literally right up from U.S. 192. So, your cab fare should not run you a whole lot at all due to the closeness of proximity as I have seen many people arriving in taxis' from WDW to eat at the restaurants on this street.

I cannot speak personally about the Crossroads area but from what I have heard you should be very near there too; others in the past talked about taking taxis to that plaza as well.

From the closest Disney resort, which is the Old Key West, the drive time to the Crossroads is no more than 6 minutes. If you are staying at the All Star resorts, the time to the Crossroads may be10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Other than the AKL, the All Star are the furthest, i believe, from the Crossroads.
Try taking the Disney resort buses to the DD bus stop and then take a cab - much cheaper that way. Or, take a hotel bus to the Doubletree Suites Hotel on Hotel Plaza Blvd from DD ( it is the closest hotel to the Crossroads). And, if you are into walking, from the DD, it is approximately 1 mile up Hotel Plaza Blvd to the Crossroads. Hope that i have been able to offer you some options. There are many restaurants in the Crossroads area - and most are very reasonably priced too! Perkins Family, Uno, McDonald's, Olive Garden, TGIFriday etc...
