How far do you live from your birth place?

I currently live 8.9 miles from the hospital I was born in. It isn't there anymore however.
I currently live 2.8 miles from where my parents lived when I was born, and where I lived until I was 3.
I currently live 6.2 miles from where my parents moved when I was 3, and where I lived until I was 24.
I currently live 6.8 miles from the condo my wife and I lived in when we got married.
As you can see, I have lived in 4 homes all within about 6 miles of where I am today in my 60 years.

My DW, lives 5,600 miles from where she was born. So we do have different life experiences.

I'm guessing your hospital was on a street beginning with an E. My dad had his last heart attack there. Anyway, I live about 20 miles from the hospital I was born (downtown). My kids were also born there. I live 6 miles from where I grew up.

170 miles to the house I grew up in and the hospital was within walking distance. Same for DH. He's from the same neighborhood and was born in the same hospital.

5 min from the house I grew up in/my parents still own.
10-15 from the hospital I was born in.

We are in a very nice South Floridian suburb with everything I could ever want nearby. Hubby wants to retire to Colorado which I'm fine with.

655.6 miles from my birthplace in South Carolina to my current home in New Jersey..

I live about 10 miles/20-minute drive from the hospital I was born in, but it is in a different state than I live in.

Nope, but I live 8 blocks from where that hospital was. I was born at Sutter Maternity, which later became Sutter Memorial at 53rd and F Streets. It was torn down last year.

1957 Sutter Memorial baby here. My 4 kids were also born there. Not Sutter Mem but Sutter Roseville, everytime a baby is born, they play a lullaby on the loud speaker. It's kinda cute. Got to hear lots when my sister was in there for her cancer.

I was born in 1957 too. That was the year the name from changed from Sutter Maternity to Sutter Memorial. They played a lullaby at Memorial too, at least they did when my mom was hospitalized there in 2012.

They do this at some of the hospitals where I've visited or was a patient.

816 miles. My family moved away from the city where I was born when I was 3. I think the last time I visited my home state was when I was 8. I was born in the Midwest, but consider myself a Southerner, since I have lived in GA, AL, FL, and NC most of my life. A month ago, DH and I moved to the Northeast- a first for both of us.

I'm a ten minute drive from where I grew up. I work in the city I was born and raised in.
