How far away ARE The Palms in Lake Davenport?

I'm considering staying at a house in the Palms, and they say they're 9 miles from Disney, while a good friend who lives in Celebration says it's more like 20 miles. Also, has anyone ever stayed in a home in the Palms? Were you pleased with the experience?

You might want to ask on the orlando hotels and attractions board. There are LOTS of people on there with tons of experience regarding rental homes!
