We're staying at SSR without a car. We have reservations at Boma so we'll need to get to/from DTD and then over to AKL. How far are the resort bus stops from SSR? Are they close or are they far?

4 bus stops at SSR. We stayed in the Congress Park section and we just had to cross the parking lot to the stop.

We walked to DTD, nice walk. Took the bus back, don't know if it was traffic or what but it was one of the longest rides we had during the week, including coming and going to the parks.

Market place buses to the other resorts are right as you get to DTD. You could also boat over or bus over as well.

Congress park is close enough to walk other places you could hop on any bus ask if going to congress park get off and walk from there.

We're going to Boma on wednesday. If we get into The Springs or Congress Park we'll probably walk to the bus stop at The Market place. If we're way back in the paddock we may take the bus from SSR to the first park bus that comes along.

You could also take a bus from SSR to one of the parks, then transfer to the AKL bus.

The walking path from Congress Park takes about 5 minutes to walk. You enter DTD at the Marketlace bus-stop and can catch any resort bus from there. :thumbsup2

I agree to a point Don't take the MK bus as it would add a lot of miles to your travel. MGM,Epcot or AK would be fine.

Sometimes traveling resort to resort with Disney Transportation is not so easy. On 12/7 we planned to go to the Merry Mixer. We planned for an hour of travel time from SSR. We waited nearly 45 minutes for a bus to Downtown Disney from the Springs. Normally the Springs stop is the last resort stop before the destination, but this was a bus that converted on the spot from an internal resort bus to a Downtown Disney bus so the bus stopped all the other three stops. When we finally arrived at Marketplace, we waited for at least 35 minutes for a bus to the Beach Club. The bus stopped at Westside, then Typhoon Lagoon, then the Swan and it was now 4:40 and the Mixer ended at 5 pm so we bagged the idea and just ate dinner at the Swan and caught a bus to Magic Kingdom. This trip took over an hour and a half and we still did not reach our destination. I recommend walking to Downtown Disney as it is often shorter.

Thanks! Where is the Marketplace bus stop? Is it over near the Rainforest Cafe?

Yes! That's the one. :thumbsup2 The walking path enters DTD just to the left of the stop. I think the closest store is the Christmas shop.
