How far ahead can you place a reservation??

We are planning an Oct. 08' vacation in an Epcot area rsort. How far in advance can you place your reservation if renting points from a DVC member?

DVC members may make a reservation at 11-months ahead of the check-out date of the reservation, at their home resort.

Members may make reservations 7-months away at a non home resort.

Example for your reseration. A BWV owner could make an October 2008 BWV reservation in November, 2007. A BCV owner could make an October 2008 BCV reservation in November 2007.

Owners at any DVC resort could make either a BWV or a BCV October '08reservation in March '08.

If you want to rent points for October 08 I would start looking for an owner at 12 months (translation: soon). October is a very popular time for the Epcot resorts because of the Food & Wine Fest and much of it sells out before the 7 month window opens. While getting an owner with the 11 month window cuts down your pool of possible people to rent from, it would insure that you get the reservation you want.
