How far ahead can you book a meal?

Just curious, we are not going until next year. We are not planning on staying at a Disney hotel but want to have Dim Sum at Lotus.

I booked in for the Dim Sum meal about 4 - 5 months in advance. I guess it depends if the booking window has opened up for the restaurant or not. When I spoke to the CM over the phone, she had to check if the window had opened up.
