How far ahead can I rent addional points??

I am new to all this....just closed today on 150 points at BWV!!! And yes, I am ecstatic!!! And of course I have been planning trips for the next 2 years....if I want to rent a few additional points, yes, I know we will need more points but DH has just come around to even buying into DVC (he sells "regular" timeshare) so I am not going to push here, how far ahead can I have another member transfer them into my account? Sorry for the run on sentence!! If someone has a March 2004 use year, which is the same as mine, can I buy the points now and have them tranferred into my account? I have been checking on the rent/trade board and someone has points at a very good price but I want to have some info before I inquire. Thanks!

You can have points transferred anytime you wish (and can find someone willing/able to do so).

They don't even have to be the same Use Year as your contract, although that can certainly simplify things.
