First, I think it's best to be honest & admit that I don't believe in physics.

I promise not to tell Issac Newton, or your high school physics teacher!

Also, it is soon for you to be thinking of connecting with your granddad, per the information I have read and heard from psychics. "They" say that your initial grieving period should be over, so your raw emotions don't get in the way of a possible reading. Just what I have heard, they advise 6-12 months before trying a reading.

LOL!!! I changed it. You're right! Mr. Mauney would not be happy with me. :rotfl2: I hate it when I make spelling errors. :headache: Thanks for pointing it out to me. :)

My heart goes out to the OP. I am so sorry for your recent loss. I know of loss too well. My step-father died suddenly, on July 4th. We were at a family BBQ and had a great day. He started feeling ill, and had a massive heart attack...right next to my mom, while we were all outside watching fireworks. He was only 52 years old. NOTHING was wrong with him before then!!!! Even though he was my STEP father, he was my father in every way since I was 5 years old...and he was THE BEST GRANDPA IN THE WORLD to my kids. Obviously, I haven't gotten over it. I can't, it's too hard. I cry a little every day. I KNOW it will get easier, because I also lost my REAL father 2 1/2 years ago...also suddenly. He was only 56 and died in his sleep. Also NOTHING wrong with him before he died. I had to go to Bereavement counseling for 6 months just to make sense of his untimely death.

I kind of believe in John Edward, and I was the SAME WAY as you when my dad just died...I wanted to hear from him, to know he was OK. But now, I know that the only way to get passed it is to let time go by. Allow yourself to try to heal. Maybe a counselor will help...it REALLY helped me a lot.

God bless you.

I just watched an episode on WE and he mentioned to a family who was there and he made mention that usually it is a much better idea to wait for a period as a previous poster mentioned. He stressed this as very important. :grouphug:

Next to impossible to get a private reading. If you sign up on his mailing list, you can go to one of his shows that visits various cities. Expect to be with many others, though, who would also like a reading. Sometimes thousands, of which only a handful will be read.

What I would suggest is picking up a copy of his book One Last Time. It's a great book, and I think would help answer the questions you have about your DGF. I agree with the poster who said pay attention to little things like scents, songs, and other things that were meaningful to you and him. Also your dreams - this is explained in the book.

Best wishes. :grouphug:

I appreciate everyone's help and advice. However, I did book tickets for a gallery like group session which is at least 6 months away. For me it might give me the closure I just need.

Good luck, I hope you get a reading! :sunny: Try to bring a friend along just in case you do, and have them write everything down. You won't be able to remember all of it & sometimes things don't make sense right away.

To the Op I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels as I am still dealing with the death of my grandmother. She raised us for two years when I was 6 and 7 years old. She died in 2003 about 8 weeks after my ds was born (he was her last great grandchild). My sil say that my grand mother wound'nt have live as long if it wasn't for him (breaks my heart to hear that).

I was very depressed about her death and dealing with a new baby too. One night in November 03 I went to bed and cried my heart out for her. You know she heard me and came to me in a dream. We were back at her house and she was sitting at her kitchen table where she always sat. It was like I was leaving her house and we were saying goodbye. She looks me dead in the eyes and stresses "I love you". She had a smile on her face when she said it. I could tell by the look in her eyes that she was ok and that was her way of telling me. The next morning I woke up feeling so happy. It's a weird feeling.

I say give it some time and if you really need him, he'll come. Take it one day at a time. I'm still doing it. Also it's ok to cry. Heres some hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Sorry for your loss.......

Here is a link to his website http://www.johnedward.net/index2.htm

I saw John Edward for a group reading (approx 17 or so of us) in 1999. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience for me. I hope you are successful in getting a private reading. Sorry, but I have no idea how much it costs for a private reading. Maybe you can find out on the website.

Did you attend the one on Long Island? May I ask how accurate he was? I might want to do this, too.

:grouphug: to you, OP.

 to you... I am sorry for your loss. :guilty:

Your DGF will come to you in ways that you least expect for the rest of your life, sweetie. I undersand the need for closure... but that will only come geniunely with time. The temporary "fix" from a "psychic" might help you through the short term but in the long term, I think you would realize that you had it in your heart all along to find the peace you needed.... without paying for it.

May God and peace be with you....

I would love to hear about your experience when you go. I loved watching John on tv and I read his books. You hear so many things about how it is a scam that it would be interesting to hear from someone 1st hand.
Sorry about your loss and I hope you get a reading. :grouphug:

I just wanted to agree that he does say to wait like 6-12 months before you get a reading -

I have been to one of his readings - There were over 1000 people there - When I booked the tickets, I thought it was going to be a "gallery" type setting - Don't know why, I just did - So I thought to myself, "oh, this can't possibly be good with that many people" - I went with several of my girlfriends -

I must tell you it was a life changing experience - NO, I was not ready - NO, none of my friends were read either - It was so amazing, that I can't even explain it if I tried -

I know there are many non-believers of what Jon Edward is able to do - But until you see it in person and experience it for yourself, it was a very worthwhile and moving - My friends and I all agreed that it was something we all were extremely glad that we went to and were able to experience in person.

Please do not take this post as negative, because it's not meant to be...it's just meant to allow the OP to think...

First, I do not believe in psychic powers. BUT...you do, so this post is for you!

You are in deep bereavement right now. You want to make sure your grandpa is alright. What happens if the psychic contacts another 'spirit' and it is not your grandpa but you think it is, and this other spirit is in a BAD place. That would stress you out for the rest of your life.

Think about the person your grandfather was - Was he a Christian or maybe Jewish? Did he believe in God or Jesus? Was he a good man? THAT is what you should concentrate on to get you through this.

I highly recommend you give yourself a little time - the pain is raw right now - his death just occurred. If you find yourself unable to get through the day, please talk with your Pastor if you have one - if not, then a bereavement group.

I will keep you in my prayers!!! :grouphug:

I know you only want postive replys but I cant help myself. John edwards is scum. Anybody would makes money off of grieving people is scum imo.

People have been doing the same things as he is for hundreds of years. Its all psychology, I know even some colleges have psychology classes where the prof teaches how to do it. Do some google search on the subject and you can find some interesting things. Im open minded about alot of things but john edwards and the like and 100% frauds.

Best wishes for this group session. I remember that someone that went to a group session (TV show) didn't get read but took notes for someone that did and mentioned that it was very healing to do that as well.

I am sorry for your loss.
Good luck with the reading! My mom and I have wanted to go to one of his readings but just can't afford it right now.
I'm sure your grandfather is with you and wants you to remember how much he cares for you.
You said your tix were for 6 months from now? In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to just talk to him.
Best wishes.

Did you get gallery tickets with John Edward? My family actually had tickets for a personal session with Shelley Peck (Edward's mentor) and 2 months before our reading she passed away :(

However I've been to a local CT medium who is incredible. $50 for an hour. The amount of "information" that came to me from my grandmother was wonderful. I'm talking about things I "talked" to my grandma about on my way to the reading.

Sorry for your loss. I still talk to my grandma on my own and still receive signs from her occaisionally.

On one hand, your vile spew doesn't warrant a response. On the other hand, since you are so sure of yourself, please show us the proof.
