Hey everyone,
I just lost my grandfather five days ago and I am taking it really bad. Anyway I was looking into going to see John Edward. Ive watched the show for years and it has always touched me. For me I just need to know that my grandfather is in a better place and that he is ok. However, when I went to the crossing over with john edward site it says he offers three types of discussions- seminars, gallery like groups, and private readings. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if they had a good experience with one of those sessions. Also, at his seminars does he different stuff then at a gallery like group discussion? Any help and positive feedback is truly appreciated and needed.

RIP Grandpa

First....  I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. I know all about taking a loss badly and I can empathize. Second... I have no idea the cost for John Edward but I hope someone will be able to help. Take care of yourself.

I am sorry for your loss, DonaldsGrl103. It will get better with time. Did you spend a lot of time with your grandfather? I mean, did he live nearby?

I would love to be able to check on my beloved, departed grandmother through John Edwards as well. It's been 5 years and I still miss her a lot.

(Not the former Senator John Edwards,Dznefreek....... although I can say that I have met THAT John Edwards before.)

Sorry for your loss.......

Here is a link to his website http://www.johnedward.net/index2.htm

I saw John Edward for a group reading (approx 17 or so of us) in 1999. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience for me. I hope you are successful in getting a private reading. Sorry, but I have no idea how much it costs for a private reading. Maybe you can find out on the website.

My condolences. But please dont be a shroob for this carny. If you have a belief in a higher being, talk to your loved one directly. Make it real for yourself, not by paying some other guy. :grouphug:

His wait list for Private readings is currently closed....

From the website:
"Private Readings

At this time, we will NOT be adding any names to the private reading waiting list.
John will be working from the current list, which is closed out.

No names will be added and absolutely
NO EXCEPTIONS
will be made to the list.
He works strictly from the list.

Opportunities for private readings will become available again
after the current scheduled waiting list diminishes.
We thank you for visiting the official John Edward website worldwide.

As an alternative, we suggest visiting our seminar page
where you may purchase tickets to seminars conducted
regionally or you may attend one of the above mentioned groups."

I am very sorry for your loss. I understand how hard it is to say goodbye to someone you love.

First this is my advice:

If anyone is having a very difficult time in dealing with the death of a loved one, it would be wiser to spend your money seeking the advice of a licensed professional such as a Psychologist or a clinical social worker or even a medical doctor such as a Psychiatrist. It may not seem like it right now, but your loss will get easier with time. My close friend lost her husband of 4 years unexpectedly and at a relatively young age just 5 months ago. She never thought she would laugh again. I never thought she would either. Now we are able to talk on the phone and go out for a ladies' day without her breaking down in tears. She thinks about her husband every day and she cries too but life must go on for those of us left behind after our loved ones pass. Life is too short not to be lived and enjoyed.

All that being said, I do not believe any one person such as a John Edwards has the ability to communicate with the afterlife. Think about it, when you watch his "readings" do you ever hear him say that the deceased person he is communicating with wants to let his family know that they are NOT okay in the afterlife? Why give your hard earned money to John Edwards? His routine is just schtick.

Best wishes to you.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your grandfather. I watch Sylvia Brown on Montel she always says it takes awhile for them to come to you. It took her own father/grandfather if I remember correctly like a year to come to her. Just give it some time and watch for little changes in lights or certain smells then you will know he is around you and OK. I wish you all the best.

Her is a link to her website. She does over the phone readings.

I understand that some people have strong beliefs either way with regard to this type of thing... but the OP did ask for Positive responses only...

Public service announcement is now over... ;)

One to one sessions mostly cost about 1250$ for a 20 min session. If u want it a little cheaper the group seminar is good too,

I have heard both John and Sylvia say negative things, not just happy things. They are both honest and I believe totally legit. If in fact 'heaven' is as great as they say it is then why would someone not be happy to be there?

I saw too that Johns waiting list is closed but Sylvia and her son still do readings but they are expensive...like $750 for Sylvia. She does offer seminars that they take random people and do readings but that doesnt guarantee you will be picked. I personally think if someones loved one wants to come through they will make sure they are picked :goodvibes

Maybe attending church, praying, or as someone else mentioned, just talking to your grandfather yourself might help. Five days is not very long, I felt the same way when my grandma passed away. It will get easier with time.

I read John Edward's book awhile back, and I don't think he does private readings very much, and your chance of being selected in a large group seems mighty slim. Also, if you went and did a reading, and someone other than your grandpa came through for you, I think you would probably be disappointed that it wasn't your grandpa.

I am very sorry for the loss of your grandfather. It is always difficult to lose someone you love. I don't know any info on John Edwards, but I wanted to give you a  .

Hope someone has the answers to your questions...

After reviewing all the posts, I have found everyone on this thread to be extremely supportive, understanding, and offering respectful advice to the OP.
I do not see anything that has been negative or flaming .
If someone starts a thread asking for the price of a psychic reading on a budget board, and a fellow budgeter recommends that person's money might be more wisely spent seeking counsel from a licensed professional how that can possibly be considered "negative" feedback.

My thoughts and best wishes are still with OP. :grouphug:

I believe that may have in part been in response to someone calling John Edwards a "carny" Or the OP being given other types of spiritual advise by people who may not believe in psychics.

I am truly sorry for your loss I was partially raised by my grands so know better than a lot of people how hard that loss can be. I hope that no matter where you find it that you find peace during this tumultous time.

First, I think it's best to be honest & admit that I don't believe in psychics. I truly don't mean to offend anyone, but didn't want to misrepresent myself either. So, please don't read anything into my reply other than the support & compassion that I'm offering.

I too have a hard time dealing with death. I'm the baby of 6. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. In the past 6 years, I've lost both parents & a sister. I still haven't come to terms with any of their deaths. If they come to mind, I have to force my mind to think about something, anything else. Otherwise, I fall apart. All 3 of them occasionally come to me in my dreams. (I'm sure many people don't believe that happens either. That doesn't bother me. I helps me & that's all that really matters.) Sometimes, it's like they're still here & nothing's changed. Most times, I realize they're dead & the Lord allows them to come to me to offer me comfort. It used to be really hard, when I'd wake up & realize it was a dream. Now, I consider it a blessing. When my sister passed away, my aunt (my mom's sister) came to me & asked if she could sit with me during the funeral. She said she felt like my mom was telling her I needed her. She said to think of it as my mom there with me instead of her. Just hearing those words, was extremely comforting at that moment in time. I have another sister who says my deceased sister comes to her in her dreams also. However, my parents don't. My other 3 sisters say they've never dreamed about any of them. They deal with death more easily though. I won't promise it will get easier, because for me it hasn't. I do think the Lord will send us the comfort we need to make it through the most difficult times. If you believe a physic reading will help, IMHO it can't hurt. I know exactly how it feels to grasp for any form of comfort. I wish you well & hope you find peace some day soon.
