We finally snagged a FP for FOP on our upcoming October trip!:cloud9:

So now how to approach Navi River Journey....We plan to arrive at park opening. Should we go straight there and ride it first thing in the morning.

Is it easy to get to considering the mass of people heading to FOP each day???:headache:

We could wait till evening too if the lines are better at the end of the night and just head into the rest of the park first thing?

Our hours got extended to 9pm on 10-22 so we could go after Rivers of light. If not too hectic I would rather do it in the morning.

Just planning out our strategy! So glad I looked today and got my FP for FOP! Now we won't have to be at AK at 7:45 am like we planned....:flower:

Can't wait!!

You can do it first thing in the morning. Get there prior to rope drop, and as the CM is leading the group to Pandora, stay on the left side. Most people will veer to the right to go to FoP; stay to the left and head to Na'vi instead. We did that multiple times in June and always rode with a 0-15 minute wait.

Congrats on getting the FoP FP+!

Navi River is easy to do at rope drop. Stay to the left as you enter Pandora while the crowd will be steered to the right as they are directed towards FoP. If you are there before or at rope drop the wait will probably be 0-10 minutes depending on how close to the front you are. The line for FoP will quickly grow to extend out into the right side of the path headed into Pandora.

Here is my rope drop Pandora trip report from a few weeks ago:

Wishing you a pixiedust: visit!

They just opened up some FoP FPs in October, so I switched my Nav'i for a FoP at 9:30. I am going to do a walk on (9am open) for Nav'i so this is great info!

I'm wondering this too - planning an AK day for next Wednesday. Any thoughts on what time to arrive at AK if you want to rope drop NRJ rather than FOP?

We rode Navi first at opening in August. For rope drop, we arrived at opening time (normally we would go even earlier to be at the front of rope drop) and were able to walk on Navi with no wait. On your way, you will be able to see the incredibly long line that has formed for FOP!

Thank you....then that is what we will do. Be there for rope drop and head to Navi. I to was so happy Disney released more FP for FOP.

We had no problem riding Navi at park opening. We went on a holiday Monday, with AK having 8 AM EMH. We were not there early. In fact, we didn't actually arrive until just after 8 AM. The masses must have all gone to FoP because our wait for Navi was less than 15 minutes.
