We are reserved for a 5 night stay at POR and I am wondering about the possibility of switching after a few nights. What we would like to do is scout out some of he other resorts and pick one to stay at our last night or two.

How easy is this to do and am I going to pay through the nose to do it.

Oh...we are leaving in under two weeks....05/19 :cool1: :flower: :bounce:

Very easy for us to do last year from BC to POR. We did have a rental car so that helped. We are doing it on our next trip also. It's nice to try different resorts in one trip.

What are you thinking about in reference to cost? Do you mean a higher resort rate because of not having a code or something?

we did this too and it was no problem at all. we checked out, left them our luggage, went to the park for the day and then just took disney transportation to the new resort late that afternoon. we had to check in there, but it didn't take any time. our luggage was at the new resort waiting for us.

have fun!!

As far as cost, can I use a code for something like that? We did the disney package with food and park hoppers so I didn't use a code to reserve it, they said i couldn't. By cost I mean, if we go from POR to WL, I would just pay the difference right?

I thought maybe you were worried about losing a AAA rate or something. So, yes, the cost difference is going to be whatever the rate difference is b/w your 2 resorts. We went from a Deluxe to a moderate. Lots of people recommend doing the nicer resort last but for us it didn't make a difference.

Remember you'd pay the difference based on rack rate though :(
