How easy is it to add people

If I buy points or rent or what ever you call it if I use a DVC members points (you know you see being sold/rented? for $10-13 point)

How easy is it to add or take away names from the reservation.

Say you have a 2 bedroom and can hold a lot of people can you add some names after the reservation is made or is it too big a deal for the "owner" of the points to do for someone renting thim?

I do not rent my points, but from my personal experience, it's not a problem. I've changed the names of people included in any single villa. It does involve a call or e-mail to Member Services, and so some bother. If you aren't sure about who will be in the villa, do mention this up front so the owner of the points realizes there could be changes. That's what I would do.

As noted by the previous poster, it is an easy thing to accomplish for the DVC owner. As a renter,you wouldn't be able to do any of this and would have to ask the DVC owner you rented through to make the changes. The owner technically owns the reservation only they can get changes to be made.

You aren't renting points. They are worthless to you as a non-member.

You aren't buying points, unless you are purchasing a DVC contract for several $K.

What you are doing is purchasing a reservation from a member who makes the reservation with their points. You are limited to the number of people you can put in a villa, but as long as you don't exceed that number, the member you purchase the reservation from should be able to add other guests at a later date.

Thanks for all the replies, guess I can add a name but only if I am using a frendly loaner, and of course a heads up or perhaps making thim put that in the contract that they will add names upon my reqest.
