When do you start packing for your trip to Disney?

When do you start gathering the supplies that you are going to take?

We leave in 16 days and I am so excited that I want to pack now. If I do that now though I won't have anything to do 8 days from now.


Oh and if a tag fairy reads my post could you please spruce me up a little. I would love to make my "Proud to be married to a Police Officer" statement a little bolder! Because I want everyone to know how I feel about my DH. Love him, love him, love him!

We normally start piling everything up in the corner the month before we are leaving and then start packing about a week before. Although this year we are going in December so I am not sure how that will work with all the holidays going on.

If I know I won't be needing the clothes between now and the trip, I will start packing a week or so in advance. The major packing is done a day before. Although I do have a little bag that is filled with extra shampoo, soaps, and all that I always have there for when I travel.

I am usually very excited about my WDW trips...I guess everything happening in my life right now, has me out of joint I have about 30 days and I have not thought of packing. My DD is going to Europe at the end of June and she has already started packing...


Maybe I will get excited...I dunno

I start packing the night before.

I'm guilty of gathering supplies years before. I'm planning on a family trip in June 2004 and will hopefully have some of my neices & nephews with us. I've bought lanyards, pins and some other things when they get cheap at TDS for the trip already

I start putting things in suitcases about 2-3 days prior but I usually have a box in my closet that I start putting things into about 2-3 weeks before the trip as I stock up on new supplies (sunscreen, ponchos, travel size shampoos, etc.). I come home from the store and throw it in the box so I don't forget it.

We go every year in November, and when we get back, I put some things aside for the next trip. Other things, I buy and put aside during the year. As far as clothes, since most of what we take is for warm weather and it's cold in New England in November, it's easy to put aside summer clothes, so I do that a couple of weeks before. So basically, I spend my whole life planning and packing for Disney.

I've been seriously gathering things for our trip now, and we don't leave until August. I'll start packing everything about 3 days ahead of time. For trips to other places, I gather stuff about a week out and pack the day ahead or the day of. Planning, packing and all the gathering of "stuff", makes a WDW trip that much more exciting. To me, anyway.

I started the day after Labor Day getting ready for our 11/30 cruise. I started 22hrs before we were to leave the house getting ready for WDW (most of the same packed luggage came with us)

I have my supplies all in one place. On the bed in the guest room. I have one suitcase pretty much already packed with my "supplies" at all times.

I don't pack my clothing until the night before I leave.
