If I have tickets for the 1:30 show, how early should we arrive? Is 1:15 early enough? I'm guessing that since it is ticketed, there is a seat for everyone with a ticket? Thanks

Rule-of-thumb for most "show attractions" (except Fantasmic!) is to arrive about 30 minutes early.

Is it possible to arrive later?
Generally yes, but you just never know what a universe of "who knows how many thousand" other guests are going to decide to do at any particular time.

Do you have stand-by tickets or ones that came with the Premium package?

I've seen people get in line for the standby tickets up to a hour early. For seating, the first 4 rows are reserved for those with the package. Standby fill in around those seats. Once most of the seats are filled, the bleachers fill. The bleachers have no backs. So if sitting on a seat with a back is important, you will want to arrive early.

The Premium Package tickets give you a return window. The queue is on the side of the building. The stand by line begins across the street from the theater by the green umbrellas.

There are bleachers in that theatre? I don't believe I have ever noticed them! If so I don't believe they were up for Comedy Warehouse.

Hmmm. I thought they were permanent since they are always there for SWW. They are directly behind the EVC/WC parking, in between the 2 exit rows.

I was just going to do standby. So even though they give out tickets, it is possible that it will be full by start time and we won't get in? I don't mind sitting on bleachers but didn't want to waste an hour just sitting in there if I don't have to.

If you don't want to arrive about 30 minutes early, you're certainly taking a chance.

I thought they were giving return tickets for all of the shows, Premium package or not. So wouldn't you know if you have a seat or not? I'm not sure I understand why there would be any significant line up over 15 minutes or so.

At Christmas two years ago they had a bar and tables there...last year open space. I do know I have heard capacity for the comedy warehouse show is 600 and the sing a long is 1000!so that would make the difference.

Yes, that would explain it. We've never been to the Christmas show. Maybe this year?

I haven't done standby yet. But they didn't let the package people in until about 30 minutes before show time.

Here is what the beginning of the standby line looked like on July 5th for the 12:30pm show. From outside here it wraps inside the muppet's extra queue before going across the street. This photo was taken around noon.

On Monday when we were there, the umbrella portion of the queue was about half of this for the 2:30 show at 2pm.

Plan to head to DHS on our arrival day.

What return time should we expect (if any) if we pick up one at around noon?
Is there a stand by line for those without ticket times to fill up those that are no shows? How log and bad is that wait?

Also do they have a handicapped line to get those in their designated spots?

I'd expect to see availability for all the shows from 1:30 on. There might also be some 12:30 spots open too.

Standby line is accessible.

I apologize. I think I'm more confused than ever! I was planning to get to Hollywood Studios at rope drop and get regular (not premium/pay extra) tickets right away while my kid meets Buzz Light year. I was going to pick up for the 1:30 show. Then I thought I'd return at 1:15 since I figure that they wouldn't give out more tickets than are actual seats, so might have to sit in the back, but we'd still get seats. Do you think this plan will work or is this not the way it works. I'm so confused!

WDW Rule to live by...

No matter if you have tickets, FPs, or ADRs for shows or restaurants at WDW:
Always arrive early.
Earlier beats later every time.

We were at DHS one week ago. There is at least one CM handing out vouchers (i.e. Tickets) for the performances. You step up and request the number that you need and the time. We were told that doors close 10 minutes before show time, and the vouchers list a 20 minute window of time for you to arrive. Based on that, your 1:30 window will be 1:00 - 1:20. We showed up about 30 minutes before show time and were still about four rows from the back of the front (theatre seats with backs) section. The back section is bleachers, and I suspect they could see fine, but I don't know if it "snows" back there.

That is interesting in that I was there a week ago too...I did have the Premium Package and my return time for the 1:30 show was listed on my ticket as 12:50-1:20. The 12:30 show was not out until 1 and it was another 5-7 minutes before they started letting people in.

The doors definitely did not close at 1:20. At 1:28 there were tons of people streaming in (I almost wondered if they even had tickets and were just pulling people off the street at that time..but I have no idea).

The show did fill almost up but not completely and started on time.
