How early to arrive for Frozen Sing Along

We currently have a FP for 11:30 show (11:05-11:20 FP return time). However I have heard that they also sometimes start letting in standby line 15-20 min early and standby line files in much quicker without having to scan bands. So is FP worth it to try to get good seats on a non busy crowd level 2-3 day. How early should one arrive with or without FP to get good seats?

We had a FP for the show last month and it appeared most of the standby line got in as well and it was a very busy holiday week. Our rule of thumb is to secure a FP to assure a seat--we got there toward the beginning of our time slot--then do walk ons for additional shows. This is a very popular attraction right now. Very well done and quite lovely for kids and adults.

-let me be clear. i've never seen this show... but i have seen the beauty and the beast show in the same theater... and i can say there really aren't "bad" seats... just tall people you can be stuck behind but just put your kids behind other kids and you'll be good.

-now, to my understanding from all other shows they always let in all fastpass people in first. so you'll have a spot even if you're there by the last minute... now if you have a fastpass already you are probably going during a slower time and i wouldn't get too concerned... i wouldn't get there as soon as your fp window opens... but maybe 10 minutes before it ends?

Huh? How long ago was that?

I haven't been to Frozen yet, but have been to B&B. According to the park map locations when I made my FP+ for Frozen next month, it is NOT in the same theater as B&B...it is completely on the other side of the park?? Can anyone clarify as I planned my FP+ according to the map so as not to be backtracking our day.

I had a FP but got there later than I intended - about 5 min before the end of my FP window, which puts you about 15 min before show time. For this show, a FP gets you closer seating in actual theater seats, where standby people sit further back in bleachers. Arriving when I did, we actually couldn't sit in the FP area because it had filled to the point there were only individual seats here and there but no seats together. We sat in the center of the very front bleacher row, which was fine. Being on time for our FP would have gotten us closer, but possibly not quite as centered, and making it in time for FP seats means more of the fake snow fallson you at the end of the show.

I think the PP is confused. For as long as Frozen SAL has been around, it has not shared the same space as BatB and they are on opposite sides of the park.

And hasn't BatB always been in the theater on Sunset Boulevard? Or did it exist before Sunset Boulevard was added?

In October, we did not have a FP+. We arrived about 20 minutes before the show. Within a couple of minutes, they let the FP + line in and then the standby line. We wound up on the front row of the back bleachers which we liked. There were people with FP+ that came in after the lines were let in and closer to showtime and they did not get seats. They were let in because of their FP+, but they had to stand on the side for the whole 20 minute show. They obviously were not happy that they had spent a FP+on it and wound up standing. You definitely want to get there before the line opens.

Went last week, got in the stand-by line half hour before show. Great seats. It is not in the Beauty and the Beast theatre, it is near the Muppet Show by the Streets of America. It is called the Premiere Theatre.

This is incorrect, there is no "FP+ seating area" for the Frozen singalong. The only reserved seating has been for the premium packages. I've been about a half-dozen times and the process is typically that the FP+ queue is let in a few minutes before the standby line. But if you have a FP+ and you're not there by the time the standby guests are streaming in, you're better off hopping into the standby line and changing your FP+ to something else.

Did the Hunchback of Notre Dame show used to be there, or was that where LMA is?

I believe so.

Nope - previous poster is, in fact, correct.

Originally, starting in January of 1992, BatB was in a theater right about where Hollywood and Sunset now meet. Later on, while Sunset Blvd was being built, BatB briefly was held in the backlot area. I'm thinking this is around 1993 or so.

It didn't last very long, but it did happen.

Missed in all this was the point about there being no bad seats. From having seen HoND there many times, I will second that point.

Just so I'm clear for future reference, BatB was in the Premier Theater (where Frozen SAL is now) in 1993? Thanks for the history by the way, I thought BatB was much younger than that.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the PP wasn't referring to an actual experience 20 years ago, but is more likely confused on the locations of the shows.

Can't say for certain that the year was '93, but it was somewhere around then, yes.

It opened in early '92. I saw it in the original location then, back while the movie was still in its original theatrical run. With a bit of research, I could dig up the name of the theater before the temporary move to the Premiere.
