I'm just wondering how early I should get a spot to watch spectro and would you then stay in that spot for wishes? By the way where is a good spot for spectro and wishes?

Well a couple weeks ago when I was there, I couldn't believe how early some people were staking out spots for Spectro. I was walking around at 5:45pm, and the Spectro was at 8pm, and already there were a few people sitting on the curbs on Main Street, and the whole balcony on the second floor of the train station was already staked out with people sitting there all the way across. Who knows how long they had been there already, and still over 2 hours to go! I'm sure the train station balcony is a wonderful place to see it, but it's just not worth spending half a day or something to get that spot in my opinion. Maybe if those people were there for 10 days or something, where they didn't care about wasting a few hours, but to me park time is too precious to wait that long for a 15 minute parade to go by. There are too many places where I can walk up 15 minutes before the parade and see it just fine, without even bothering the people who have been sitting there for hours. And with Spectro, it's not like there are a lot of characters walking around on the ground interacting with people, because it's too dark, so why bother with a front row spot? Oh well, getting off the soapbox now.....

When my son and I were there in 2001, we got a spot an hour before the parade started. We sat in front of the candy store on Main Street. That spot was perfect. The only problem we had was dealing with people trying to get in front of us at the last minute.:chat:

After the parade we walked down near the castle and watched the fireworks.

In May, we viewed Spectro from the Bridge near Splash Mountain - crowds were pretty light since it was May....we were able to walk up about 15 minutes before the parade reached that spot (near the end of the route)....we had a great time riding SM and BTMRR with very short lines just before this

We then were able to stroll across the bridge and see FITS

I understand though that this may not be a good place to see Wishes from....

Thanks

We were just there and saw Spectro on Friday night. To our advantage the parade was running twice that night at 7:30 and at 9:30 we opted for the later parade and staked out a spot near the Country Bear Jamboree about forty minutes or so before the parade. When the parade reached Frontier land there were still very few people there anyone could have walked up and had a terrific spot. I don’t know how often they show it twice in one night but if they do I would go then and see the second show. The second show was also after the Wishes display so the park nearly emptied after that. The only bad part was that we had to fight our way to Frontier land from Main Street.
