How early for dinner if you don't make ADR?

Hi everyone:

Just wondering...if you don't make an ADR and want to have a sit down dinner at one of the less popular restaurants (I am thinking like a Planet Hollywood, or Rainforest Cafe in DTD)...can you go out for an early dinner and get a table? If so, how early? We will be in Disney in 10 days, and while we have a few ADRs we don't like to plan the meal thing, as it is secondary to us (we are not on the DDP). However, sometimes you just feel like sitting down and having a decent meal! We are willing to eat at off times (like a 3:30 dinner). Just wondering what other's experiences have been.

Again, we are mainly talking about your basic restaurants...not the really hard to get into ones.

Thanks in advance,

Kelly

It really depends on the restaurant and what day you go. I walked up to Paradiso 37 in DTD last Thursday around 5:30 and was seated immediately. By 5pm on Monday, Ohana already had a 2hr wait.

Your best bet is to just make an ADR. If not, be prepared to go elsewhere or eat at a CS spot.
