How early does transportation start running at VWL?

We are staying at the VWL in January. I was able to get PS ressies for Cinderella's Royal Table. When I called, I wanted the earliest PS available. The CM told me they had a 8:10 ressie, but staying at Wilderness Lodge, we would not be able to get to the MK by Disney transportation. She suggested the 8:45, park opens at 9:00. I would have liked to been able to have been done with breakfast around the time the park opens. We could have driven ourselves to transportation center and taken the 8:10, but we will be at Disney for a few days, so we can do the MK right at opening another day. We have stayed at SOG and walked to the Poly and caught the monorail over to the MK for breakfast before the park opens and never had a problem. What I am wondering is does anyone know how early does the transporation start running from VWL? Do the busses run earlier than the boats? How early should we leave for an 8:45 PS at MK? We are in the exact same boat...January, Cinderella ressies before park opening, staying at VWL. I was wondering the answer to this myself. Hope we get a reply!

Unless things have changed now, I thought the transportation starts running about an hour before the parks open. We'll be going to VWL Dec. 30 so we'll find out soon.

I sent member services an e-mail regarding this question. The response I got from a woman named Evelyn said that bus transportation should start running one half hour prior to the earliest character meal seating.

So we should both be fine!

We just returned from VWL a few weeks ago. We had PS at the Crystal Palace at 8:15. The boat to MK started running at 8:30 am but..... we found we could get the boat to the Contemporary earlier (I believe the boats to FW and the Contemporary started at 7:30 am). Once at the Contemporary it was a short walk to MK. We didn't have to take any buses using this method. There was a PS entrance at MK after you go through the security check point. It was a breeze.

Thank-you for the help everyone! I think we will take the boat to the Contemporary and walk, or take the boat directly to MK if the timing is OK. I love either idea and can't believe it is less than 2 months until we go!!!!!!
