It's going to be a very busy possibly 9/10 day (it's MLK day) and I want to attend the 3:30 show. Is getting there at 3:15 ok?

When we went just a week and a half ago the theater was only half-full after allowing in every standby guest. It was a midday show, I think 3:30'ish. No one can promise you 3:15 is okay, but based on my experience it would be fine. By 3:15 in the day you'll probly be improvising so I'd play it by ear and know you can get in to a later showing even if you're busy and miss this one!

If it is critical for your schedule that you make this particular showing, I would plan to be there at 3:00 and not leave it till 15 min before showtime. 15 min prior they let the outside standby line into the covered section where you line up by the theater doors. Then you watch Frozen clips for 15 min while you wait out that last bit.

I tried to get in a show a couple weeks ago about 10 minutes before it started, and the entire standby line did NOT get in.

Have you considered using a fastpass?

Where are you getting a 9/10 crowd level for MLK day? 10s in particular are pretty much just the week between Christmas and New Years and around Easter. EasyWDW had that day as a 6 and DHS as the most recommended park. Since his crowd levels are for the entire resort, that means that DHS could be more like a 4 or 5.

I do think they exaggerate a bit at that site. I just double checked and it's not a 9 out of 10, but rather a 10 out of 10. :(

I'm going in expecting it to be horrible, so if it turns out less than horrible I will be pleasantly surprised.

We were there the same time span and had the same experience. We saw two shows once at 6 and the other mid-afternoon. Only for the 6 oclock show did we use FP. Wasn't really needed either time, but again sounds like a much slower time.
