Our wedding is in December (the weekend before Christmas).

I was wondering when we should purchase our wedding bands?

TIA!:goodvibes

I am also getting married in December and I bought his wedding band like 8 months ago. I only did this because we happened to go into a jewelry store and there was one he liked on sale. If not I probably would have waited. He got lucky though because my ring came with the wedding band, so he got to save some $$ there.

once i knew what i was looking for for me, i ought them once i found them - ended up being online about 6 months before. DH wanted a tiffany platinum band which we were going to by around the same time frame - but he wanted to hold off a bit and in the meantime the price went up and we ended up getting a white gold band at a mall jewelry store around christmas and he is very happy with it.

Our wedding is two years away... My wedding band came with my engagement ring, and I've already found a males wedding band that will some what match my own band that I will be purchasing in the next couple of months...

I don't think its ever too early to buy them once you start the planning process (which i have on my own, not with my Disney Wedding Planner yet obviously!)

We are getting married next November and we bought my ring in December. Since we have plenty of time we put it on layaway. Best decision ever since the price went up by $200 since then!

We are getting married about a week before you. Last week we went shopping for wedding bands. DF found his and we purchased it and it should be in any day now. I think I know what I want and the jeweler said we still had some time for me to decide. I do not plan on waiting too much longer. HTH.

My engagement band will be paid completely off in about 3-4 months. After that,
we're going to go order my band. After that is completly paid off, we'll go get his. :)

We're not geting married untill either June 2012 or June 2013

Thank you! :goodvibes I think we are going to plan to purchase them by early September. My DF already knows exactly what he wants & I'm getting the matching band to my ring from Blue Nile & they have free overnight delivery :)

I bought mine in early February...I'd seen it on Overstock.com around Christmas and I couldn't stop thinking about it! Only $39 as well :goodvibes

My fiance bought his in May. He hemmed and hawed for months and finally went with his first choice. Men...

our wedding is june 2012 and we plan on trying to get some around black friday, or in december when there are some good christmas sales.

We got engaged Dec. 31, 1999 and since my engagement ring was not a normal shape, we had to have my wedding band made. So, in about March we went to a jewelry store that custom made bands. While we were there, DH just happen to find a ring he liked. Our wedding was July 8, 2000.

So I think it depends if you think you will need something custom made or not. I think you have plenty of time to shop.

I knew that I wanted a band that matched the diamond accents in my ring so we just waiting until DF found his.

He wanted a similiar style to a silver ring I bought him a few years ago and we couldn't find anything similiar in white gold or platinum (we'd been looking since last Feb) as it was a mix of sandblasted and polished metal that he wanted.

Then when we were in Manchester he found the one he wanted so we got it straight away. That was a few months ago and we get married in November :)

So I think it depends on how picky you are - whether you will need to really look to find the ideal ring, or if the style you like is readily available.

My wedding isn't until Oct. of next year and I already have my wedding band, and I think my fiance might have ordered his. Though, I'm waiting until it gets closer to next year to get it sized.

We're getting married at the end of Feb and we bought ours this past weekend. We probably could have waited a lot longer, but it was one of the wedding costs that was stressing us out a bit....so we decided to tackle one set of expenses with the wedding each month, and knocked out the bands first. :)

We got married last September (almost a year for us now), and we purchased our bands the summer before the wedding, the July I believe it was. We spent about a good month looking before we made a final decision.

we got ours a year and a half before we got married. We wanted to make sure that they would be all paid off by the time we were married. One less thing to worry about. I think it is best that once you find "the one" that if you can...wait until they are having a sale like around a holiday...unless it is a one of a kind or a hard to keep in stock item...then go for it!!!

Such a smart way to do things! Trust me, it doesn't seem as bad when you are making purchases little by little.

My wedding is in November, and we got our bands in May..just to have it checked off on our to do list.

Getting married in October. Our jeweler advised ~ 8 weeks prior to the date. We went ahead and did it 4 months before because we both had a day off from work. It didn't take 8 weeks to come back, but it's nice to have a little cushion time.

DF actually bought our bands when he bought my engagement ring. Mine is a matching set, and he figured he might as well get his at the same time. :)

Glad it's one less thing I have to worry about! :yay:
