We are doing a split stay. On the day we move to Disney we plan to visit DS. To make use of the DDP that day (for lunch in DS) we'd need to check into AKL early; about 8am to get to DS for opening. Not worried about leaving cases or getting room etc until later; but will they do our 'Key to the Worlds' that early?

Any ideas if this is possible?

We had that dilemma as we have to meet family from the airport and check into Disney ASMu at the same time, but you can check in early they will look after your bags and once your rooms available they should take all your luggage there so its ready and waiting.:cheer2::cheer2:

Hope this helps.

Check out starts at 11 so as long as your room is vacant i cant see why you wouldn't get your Kttw, i would contact AKL explain what you want to do i'm sure they will be able to help.

Hi,
last year we did alot of moving around!:) We had no problem booking in early. We left our car/luggage at the resort and just went to the parks and moved in when we got back. We found that though the rooms weren't ready, the staff knew the room no's we were allocated to, and gave us the keys, telling us when they would be available from.

We are doing the same this year. We have booked a flight a day early, and are staying offsite for the one night. We plan to get to OKW first thing to book in and get our vacation started!!

Off a Disney cruise I was at the Polnesian at 8.45am, now do not expect a room, but we got ours then!,tickets etc, and was in MK entrance at 9.30am.

They will allow you to check in anytime the first day, and issue tickets if they included that day, but do not expect a room till 3pm/4pm.
