How early can you book for 2009??

We just returned this past Friday from our vacation @ WDW and the GF resort and are already DREAMING of next year!!!!!!!!!! We had so much fun and LOVED LOVED LOVED the GF and I was just curious how early you are able to book because when I tried on Disney's site, it said I couldn't but it showed 2009 dates so I'm kinda confused. Thanks for any help

I believe 2009 packages come out in August- good luck!! I am waiting as well.

I already have a room only booked at the poly for 2009. It is going to be a special back from deployment trip. That is why I had to be so thrifty with my trip this year, hubby wants to stay at the poly.

You can book a room only reservation for 2009 now, but have to call disney, can't use the web site. You will be charged a one night deposit based on the 2008 peak rate for the resort. You can book up to 499 days in advance. When the real rates and packages come out sometime this summer, you can then change to a package if that is what you want.

100% Correct. I just booked Contemporary Club for Aug 2009..room only at highest rate and when the 2009 rates are published, you rate will be adjusted or you can upgrade to a "package"

I'm booked for July 2009 at Contemporary and Yacht Club. Room only. When the rates come out, I will try to get a AAA discount.

Do you mean rates for the AAA membership? or the Rates for the resorts?

As for the AAA membership, my dad always renews our membership as a Christmas gift. He got tired of trying to figure out useful things to buy us, so for 5 years now we get AAA, it is a great gift!

As for the rates, I'm really hoping the resort rates don't go up. It looks like travel to WDW has decreased this year (hence the shortening of park hours) so maybe, fingers crossed the rates will at least remain the same and the discounts will be good! For my Contemporary stay the rate for my reservation is over $600 a night and over $400 for YC. Of course that was for Holiday rates 2008. So when the rates for 2009 come out, I 'm hoping to pay a little over half that!

It looks like you are doing a cruise too! We are doing a Disney Cruise along with our WDW stay.

We were booked with Disney but switched to Royal Caribbean Freedom Of The Seas ..Nicer Room..More "non-Disney" stuff ,larger ship for sailing in the southern caribbean, all at the same price as two insides on the Magic..so my kids picked RCL. ..

We have been on the Disney Wonder 2x and had a great time each time..

I am paying $650 a night for Contemporary Concierge Club Atrium level now..hopefully that comes down as I am traveling in "value season"..
