I have an open house on Christmas Eve so I have a lot of baking and cooking to do. How many days ahead am I able to make fuge and Oreo Truffles? What is the best way to store them to keep them freshest?
Thanks

I know that fudge freezes well. I've never freezed the oreo truffles but I made them for a party and had some left over and keeping them in the fridge they held up good for 5-6 days

If you start now, there will still be time to ship them to me! :lmao:

I agree. Our oreo truffles hold up well for at least a week in the fridge.

Can I get the oreo recipe?

Crush up a bag of Oreo's into fine crumbs (I do mine in my food processor)
Mix in a bar of softened cream cheese (mix well)
Roll into balls. Easy peasy.

You can also dip them into melted chocolate or white chocolate. I've also rolled them in cookie crumbs. I've also heard people using the mint Oreos or the peanut butter ones too.

I always use the mint oreos and also dip them in the chocolate...my recommendation is to put them in the freezer for 15 mins after making them into the balls and them dipping them in the chocolate...so much easier

I made mine last week. I just have them in air tight containers in my garage (since it's 20 degrees outside now, I think the garage is plenty cold).

I use CandyQuik for my dipping chocolate - I tried regular Baker's choc melted and it just was a PITA.

I think both the fudge and truffles would be fine for 7-10 days.
