How d'ya know if faxed order went thru (for in-room orders, spa, etc)?

Hey All,

I faxed off the order form for an in-room gift and Rain Forest pass today. The fax seemed to go thru . . .but how do I know if they got it? Will they charge my credit card immediately? Does the order show up on the website, or something?

I havent done this yet (but will be further down the road) but I would maybe just call and verify?

My experience is that they charge the credit card. One time I did not see a charge, so I contacted them via the website (there is a place for comments/questions) and asked about it. They then looked into it and the order had gotten lost or so. But it was all worked out.

I've done it a few times and usually I see the charge on my credit card within a few days. There's no confirmation. I've twice had problems with Princess doing it (ordering for my dad) but never DCL.

I didn't fax I found it easier to call them. As I placed the order my card was charged. I got a nightlight with pillow for my DD she loved it!

yes, they charge your card right away. if you have access to your credit card information you can see it show with in a day or two. other than that you will see it on your next statement.
i always take my fax confirmation with me on my sailing just in case there are questions but have never needed it.

They'll charge it to your credit card...

But I would call to verify because the last time, they did not get my orders correctly (Ex: wine to be delivered at the restaurant was delivered in the room, and 1 day-pass for the spa instead of 2).

Thanks for posting this. I had faxed an order form back at the beginning of April and hadn't seen a charge on my cc yet. I wasn't sure if something had happened to the fax or if they usually waited until closer to your cruise date to put through the charge. I called tonight and they didn't have my order. We got everything straightened out and I received an email confirmation of my order shortly after the phone call.
