You decide how many points you want to purchase. You get the same amount of points every year. The price per point may vary a little depending on which location you purchase into. To decide how many points you should buy, look at a points chart that is attached above, and see how many points it would take to stay in a particular size room at the times of you you would normally vacation.

The points you need depend on where you want to stay, when you want to go and what type of accomodations you want to stay in. If you click on the DVC Point Charts on the top of this page just under The Timeshare Store advertisement you can see all the charts for the different resorts and the amount of points needed based on each resort, your travel season and type of accomodations. Right now there are some really great incentives for BLT but make sure you visit the referral thread to get a referral for more $$ off the price. Anyone on here is more than willing to be a referal!

The one piece of advice I hear over and over is buy where you want to stay. Because as DVC grows it may become more difficult to book at different resorts at the 7 month mark, not saying that you won't be able to just that it may be harder during high traffic times.
