How does vandalism and looting accomplish anything???

As long as there is money to made in the grievance industry, I don't see much changing. Booker T Washington said it best more than century ago:

"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well."

Hispanic isn't truly a defined race though, so one could see why that gets sticky.

One could be 100% Native American, 100% European descent, 100% African descent, or any combination of the above and identify yourself as "Hispanic" based on recent geography.

Well mostly no, but but if one really wants you to be correct, you could argue . . . http://www.pewhispanic.org/2009/05/28/whos-hispanic/

Then again, race isn't biological. DNA tests don't reveal race. So how do you define race.

And . . . ?

Not sure what is hard to understand

Good grief, here's another shooting. The perp was killed by a police officer last night after he stabbed his K9 partner in the scuffle. Dog is expected to recover.

Good I'm glad about both things. I don't care what race/ethnicity I don't give a damn about any of it. This K-9 is a cop like any other. The cop that killed the person that was assaulting the dog was defending his partner..period..the end.

Now I pray for the dog to recover.

A K-9 is a police officer, you kill or attempt to kill a K-9 and you are killing a police officer. In most states you will be charged in killing a LEO .. And you should. These animals are their partner not their pet.

In the article, the officer was only legally permitted to shoot once he was within a certain distance and the suspect had a weapon. From a distance, the cop could not legally shoot.

That said--poor dog. I know his human partner is definitely missing him.

In law school, we actually discussed an often used defense that supposedly does not exist. (But I've seen it used successfully and it does exist.) It's called the He Needed Killing defense. Anyone that stabs a dog...any dog, not just a police dog...and gets shot for it, may just find the shooter exonerated based on He Needed Killing. People do love dogs.

I'm sure that's not the legal term " He needed killing " defense; more like justifiable or excusable homicide.

People do love dogs that's true. That's not the point though. Our pets are considered property nothing more than worth the $ value ( not something I agree with ) but legally the K-9 attacker, if he had lived, would have been charged in most jurisdictions with a Felony assault, I think a D Felony I forget. Moot point now.

Was about to say pretty sure he would be charged with something. M
Please pardon my pregnancy brain.
