No I.D.??
Must have been, I've read so many conflicting reports I can't even keep them straight anymore.
No I.D.??
LOL... So what if they are left leaning... All I asked was that Folks watch the full video and talk about what they may or not see in it... don't worry it is not contagious...
Capt Johnson has been walking with the marchers and doing everything in his power to restore peace to Ferguson and he has already been called an "uncle Tom" a few times on TV. For whatever reason a black person becoming a police officer is seen by many as being a traitor to your race.
You can't have it both ways, either show the black officers respect or quit complaining there are so few black officers.
The answer is, you come to the US, you work long hours at multiple bad jobs, saving every penny, you force your kids to study, study, study, and they get into college, and *presto* your descendants break out of poverty. The immigrant's life may be miserable, but they do it willingly to give something better to their kids. How is it people can come into this country that don't even speak English and find success within a generation or 2 but so many in the black community have been stuck in perpetual poverty and crime for generations? Is it lack of opportunity, lack of family structure, lack of education, lack of hope, social conditioning, etc, etc, etc?
I watched it. I can't tell what's going on. When he reaches over the counter, I'm not even sure what he takes. It does look like he puts back that stuff though.
I'd be interested in seeing a full video from the other angle. The one the stills of him leaving were taken from.
It could, but it would almost certainly break the skin.
One theory I have is that he was hit in the face with the car door rather than punched.
I saw it yesterday and I really couldn't tell what was going on behind the counter. I do think it's interesting that the owner never called in the robbery if that's what really happened.I honestly can't tell much either... it is kinda a Rorschach test in its own way. I do have the overall impression when I watch it (and when I watched the other clip) that to me it does not have the urgency or tension that I would expect in a robbery...

That notion that the FPD only released "portions" of video appears to be a false narrative. The local news TV report about the store's reaction to the release of the video clearly shows the alleged "missing" footage was made public at the same time as the rest of the footage was released. The edited footage showing only the confrontation with the clerk appears to be an edit from other news outlets....and coming to the conclusion that perhaps it was not a robbery, seems that only portions of the video were released by the Ferguson PD.
One thing the store's lawyer clearly doesn't refute while trying to distance his client from the FPD's investigation is the police claim that the tape shows a robbery. An assertion of "Hey, we weren't the ones that called the cops!!!" doesn't offer much firm footing that the cigars in question were actually paid for by Brown. There's also the problem of squaring this theory with this purported statement:In the video Brown can be seen approaching the cash register and starts paying for cigars... he does not have enough for all the cigars chosen so he pays for some and then 'pushes' the "extras" back across the counter... this causes the clerk to come around the corner and speak with Brown who then pushed him after the clerk places his hand on Brown.
On the whole, this sounds even shakier than the "orbital socket blowout" report. The friend who was with Michael Brown when he was shot and killed by a police officer near St. Louis over the weekend is reportedly confirming that he and Brown had taken part in the theft of cigars from a convenience store that day.
That word comes from the attorney for Dorian Johnson, speaking to MSNBC. Police in Ferguson had earlier announced that Brown was suspected of taking cigars from the convenience store in what was described as a "strong-arm robbery."

Enjoy your birthday party! There is nothing better than giving a 1-year old a huge piece of cake to smear all over themselvesI think I remember seeing a police report when the police released the video or maybe it was a a couple of days later. Going to my grand baby's first birthday party. When I get back, I'll check.
Seems like if your first statement is a certainty, then a car door hitting hard enough to cause an orbital fracture ought to have the same effect? Of course all that assumes that the Gateway Pundit is accurate in this case.
Enjoy your birthday party! There is nothing better than giving a 1-year old a huge piece of cake to smear all over themselves.
Thank- you, can't wait!
A breath of fresh air. Like a window was just thrown open in here. The celebration of innocence. Happy Birthday to her !

It is unfortunate. Hopefully, Missouri Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson, who is overseeing the Ferguson protests and is from the same section of Ferguson where Brown was shot, might become a role model to show kids that you can break the cycle.
It isn't just about "showing kids", though. It is also about addressing a system that stacks the deck against them in the first place. For example, using stats from the NYT article linked upthread - Ferguson is 63% black, but blacks account for 86% of all traffic stops and 92% of all arrests in the city. A lot of those young black people who are ineligible for police service and college aid are guilty of nothing more than most of their eligible white counterparts. They're just more likely to be stopped and therefore more likely to be arrested and charged. So it isn't just about communicating to these kids that it is possible to break the cycle. It is about getting through to them that the world isn't fair, that they'll have to hold themselves to a higher standard than white kids to achieve the same outcomes, and to somehow present this information in a way that they will accept and internalize without rebellion or anger. Either that or somehow changing the system so that it truly becomes color blind and things that are dismissed as "youthful mistakes" in white kids are no longer treated as life-changing criminal matters for black youth.
The eyewitness account is strait forward with no prejudice. No one knew, the conversation was being recorded. It's probably the most truthful statement , that we've heard.
Sadly, this isn't about truth or Michael Brown. The narrative changes daily. Unfortunately, the family has no idea how badly, they're being used.![]()
