How does this work?

I am new to DVC. I gave up my 2004 points for a lower rate at SSR. My use year is March. Here is my question....
If I want to go somewhere other than Disney (like the carribean), when can I make reservations for next April (2005)?

I'm not sure exactly how the booking window works for trading outside of Disney as I've never done it - but I do know that for April 2005 in Disney if your use yr is March and you will be eligible to use Mar.05's pts - then you could book those pts for your April 05' stay 11mos out (for your home resort). If it's done on the same booking window as staying in Disney than I would guess 11mos out or 7mos out. Anyone know ? Now I'm curious Also do I have that right or am I giving completely wrong info. here?

Call Member Services on Monday.

Tell them what you want to do, using your 2005 points. See when they can put you on a wait list. Sometimes you have to wait several months for popular destinations. The earlier you can book the better. So MS can tell you exactly when you can try to start booking.
