How does this work?

When you apply a AAA discount, how exactly does it work? If you book through CRO, I understand that you can't get a package with the AAA discount applied-- you have to go through AAA for that. But if you go through AAA, do they simply apply the discount to the room only portion of the package anyway and tack on the tickets, dining, ect., at the regular prices? If that's the case, why can't you book a "package" through CRO? Or does AAA discount more than just the room portion?

AAA does discount the room only portion.I am not exactly sure why AAA wants it this way, but you need to go thru them for a pkg.There is no way around it.AAA also gives you the diamond parking pass, and a special princess story time.Once AAA books the pkg,they own your ressie,Ant changes to pkg or questions has to got thru them.You can make your own travel arrangements, and your own adrs if you so choose( I am).Alot of people don't like AAA, I have a great Ta at AAA so I don't mind it.
