In a fit of apparent temporary insanity, my husband encouraged me to book a last minute trip to Disney World for Star Wars Weekend for my daughter and I. I'd found out a friend is going to be down there the same weekend with her son, so we'll be splitting a room. We're wondering how ME works when you have two parties flying in from different cities, at different times, but are on the same room reservation (she's adding our names).

I've only ever stayed DVC on rented points, so the member we rent from has always arranged ME for us. I have no clue what to do now. HELP!

When you make the (required in advance) Magical Express reservations you can give different dates for different people. There is a toll free number for DME, 866-599-0951.

It may be necessary for one member to make copies of the DME brochure and divvy up the yellow baggage tags to send to others if only one set of materials is sent out.

You can easily make separate DME reservations for going home after you get down there. Make sure each person or group gets confirmation (and make any needed corrections) on the morning of the day before the day they will leave.

Your friend will have to call DME and make sure they have your names on their list. I already have my DME stuff for my late May/early June trip, so your friend needs to move quickly. That way you will be able to get tags and vouchers.
When she calls Disney to add you to the room, be sure they also have your travel info for DME.
It is no issue when arriving on different airlines from different cities..even on different days. Just as long as you are all listed on a WDW resort reservation and have made your DME reservation in advance.

Just call DME :) I went down a day late from my parents a couple years ago and it was so easy to get my DME moved to the next day. I just had carry on luggage so no worries about luggage tags but I'm sure you can work that out as well.

I have the same question. When I get my DME vouchers, can I tear out the voucher for the person traveling on a separate flight or does the book need to stay intact?
