I know I can get a free ticket on my birthday, and I had a credit with Jet Blue that was going to expire that I only had to add $20 to. I'm in the process of renting DVC points for my room.

My plan is to get there on the 6th, chill by the pool and/or go to DD (haven't been there in years). On the 7th, my birthday, I plan to ride Expedition Everest as many times as humanly possible. I got the idea when I was at WDW with my family in January. They don't do coasters, so I went to AK on my own and, with the help of the singles line, rode about 8 times in a row with almost no wait. (I know it'll be a little more crowded in October than January, but I'm hoping that a combination of fastpasses and the singles line will get me on as many times as my stomach wants to churn.) I LOVE that ride and think it would be fun riding the same ride all day long. (If I get bored, there are a few other attraction at AK I like.)

I don't usually like solo trips anymore--I do better when I'm with people--but I think this could be a lot of fun and a great way to turn 33. Thoughts?

Why not limit your rides to 33. And make up (and wear) a T-Shirt saying something to the effect of "Today I am 33 and riding Expedition Everest 33 times".

That's an awesome idea, Chesire. At the very least, I was going to take a picture of myself holding up fingers (and eventually a dry erase board) and taking a picture for each ride through. I think I'm going to start another thread of whether to do this or go to MK for the day.

I think if I rode EE 33 times, I would get very sick! haha! But go for it

Hey you could look up NyDisneykid he has ridden everest like 3400 times. I met him at the turnstiles the first week of may. He'll think its a great idea!!!
I'd do it in a heartbeat I rode EE as many times as I could my last trip using the single rider line!
Have Fun!!!:goodvibes

my limit would be 3.. well I rode it 3 consecutive times and after the 3rd one I had to take a moment or 2 but then I am not turning 33... maybe if I was 33 I will be able to do it :rolleyes1 hmmm what was I doing when I was 33 :sad1: cant remember :lmao: see what I mean ??!!!

if you set the date and its final hope tosee you there... I will be there from 2 to 12.... and hoping to break my TOT record of 12 times in a row!!!:thumbsup2

Hmm, now you have me thinking about doing a Mission Space Orange Team marathon since I'll be at Epcot on my birthday. Love that ride and, so far, my record is 6 times in a row, which happened right after a very large meal in World Showcase.

I also like the idea of riding the same number of times as your age. So I could ride it 36 times!!!! :goodvibes

I think it's a cute idea! Especially the 33 times idea! I think you should do it especially since its your favorite ride! If you went to MK instead, you might regret it.

yeah, I think it's pretty much settled. I also took a look at the other attractions at AK and realized there's a few I really like that I wouldn't mind doing again if I get bored of EE (not likely, though) :rotfl:

Sounds like a great idea. I'm a few years older, but so far my limit on EE has been 8 in a row. By that time, I tend to get a little...dizzy. Also, I like to avoid lines, and often even the single rider line gets up to 20+ minutes by 11am, so I move along. For RnR I've managed 6 in a row and was mainly stopped due to sore shoulders from banging on the harness...heh. For ToT, I have yet to find a limit, but have done 4 in a row before giving up due to longer lines again.

Have fun!!

Hmm, what's this about a "limit"? I can't imagine growing tired or weary from riding something over and over. Hmmm, I wonder what the record for Mission Space Orange is? Surely someone has rode that sucker a thousand times in a day, plus the lines aren't bad at all.

I think you're onto something with EE. Singles line moves quickly and you could really put some rides in during the course of a day. Maybe a little break for lunch, but MUST ride at least as many times as your age.

Hey, thanks DFD!! Always looking to save a few $$!! :thumbsup2

And I love the EE marathon idea - though I'm a wimp and would do Soarin' instead!! Plus, I'm turning 54 this year - if I did EE 54 times.......:scared1:

Have fun!!

I did the finger thing on Test Track one night during EMH. It was the end of September and I was there by myself. I ended up riding 8 times. I was even the last rider of the night, so I got to ride by myself.

I also love the 33 times idea, but a dry erase board would be helpful for that. Make sure to get a fastpass for your last ride to ride in the front row.

if you are gonna be at WDW 10/6 and 10/7 .. check out the ladies thread at the DIS MEET site .. we are going the same time.. we would love to have you join us...

Great Idea, but if you want to save even more money, the Swan and Dolphin resorts are offering a free night on your birthday. Just a thought if it's not too late. :)

The wait in the singles line was posted at 5 minutes and was probably more like 3 minutes on July 10th in the middle of the day---so I think you'll have no problem!
