Hello all,

I am spending one day at WDW (Magic Kingdom to be exact) after our Disney cruise. I love to buy the pictures that the professionals take but I wondered how it worked. Do I just buy the ones I like? Do I get a CD? Any info would be helpful.

Thanks!! :disrocks:

After your first picture the CM will give you a card called Photopass. You will hand this card to all other photographers you go up to. The number (code bar) on your photopass will register all your photos which you will be able to look at online for 30 days. You will be able to purchase/edit any photos from there.

I'm a huge fan of the photo-pass system, it's awesome. When a CM takes your picture (on Main Street, or a Character meet), he/she will hand you a card. You keep this card, and every time you take a picture with one of the CM's again, you hand them the card before they take the picture. Then, they will swipe the card, placing the picture in your "account".
At the end of your day, you can go to any of the photo shops, give them your card, and they can show you each picture that you had taken. They can even do enhancements (I have a picture of my wife and I holding a hat with Stitch bursting through it on my desk at work). You can then pay for whatever pictures you like.
You can then take the card home, and this is where it gets great. You can go to the photo-pass website, log in using your card ID number, and there are all your pictures for the next 30 days. You can do your own enhancements, order more prints, or e-mail them to friends so they can order some as well.

It's a great system. We got several great shots of our honeymoon using this system, and our family was able to look at the pictures as well.

You can also get a CD with your pictures for $99.95. Not a very good deal if you only have four pictures, but a great deal if you have 75 pictures. Also, CMs told me that it's better to view the pics before you leave the park than to view them at home because that way if there is a problem they can try to fix it there. Also, it is a bit cheaper to buy the pictures there since you don't have to pay for shipping. Just to give you an idea, three 5x7s cost $30.00
