So I have never eaten at the Land and don't know how it works. Do you wait in line for each section? Do you grabe what you want and check out at a central location?

Just wondering for a dinner one night. I don't really want to go to one place for me, one for hubby, and one for DS. But if you can get one thing from this place and one thing from this place and then ALL check out TOGETHER that would be perfect.

Hello -

I recommend The Land for CS at Epcot because it has such a vast selection.

My last trip - I had to contend with myself wanting good meals, DH, picky DS, picky DD and vegetarian DD so we went to The Land.

There are many counters with different selections, then rows of seperate check out areas...

So you can get a Sub Sandwich or salad, DH can get a roasted chicken dinner with mashed potatos & veggie, DS can get Chinese, (similar to a Mall Courtyard) and then all go check out together or seperate.

Hope that helps....

Hugs,
Mary

Thanks, that is exactly what I needed. sounds like we will definitely be eating there!!! That seems so convenient to have so many different food that you can all buy at one time. I was hoping it wasn't mall food court type food where you go to Chinese, wait in line, buy that, go to sub shop, wait in line, buy that....etc...

That's why I usually recommend it to folks...

We just left DH at a table (to 'hold it....it was busy when we went) and me & 3 teens just all split up & got our food. The teens seemed to like being in charge of picking out what they wanted. They could have just charged on their own card but somehow we ended up together in the check out lines so I just charged on my own.

There is quite an extensive condiment counter with many choices as well...packets of mayo, ketchup, soy sauce, dressing, all kinds of stuff :)

I think sometimes SSFF closes early. I recall wanting to eat dinner there once and it was closed. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
We really like the food, especially the desserts.

Can you have DH hold a table? I thought all had to be present for the dinning plan? So you don't buy someone else meals?

Well, holding a table just as you would like at the mall food court or McDonald's, it's always busy in there especially when people like to just sit in there and hangout.

You will enter the Land by climbing up a steep (for Disney) hill. After you enter the door you will have to walk either right or left, go right. You will continue walking toward the Garden Grill TS until you pass the Circle of Life show onto the escalator going down, as you started out on the second story. Now you are in the seating area for Sunshine Seasons.

It's almost set up like a cafeteria with the entrances to Living with the Land, Behind the Seeds Tour and Soarin' all around you. Coming down from the escalators, you will be in the eating area. To get to Soarin', you will be in the eating area. You will have to walk around to the other side of the area to get to the food.

There are a couple of sections to choose from. Some of the places include chicken and mashed taters, pastries and stuff from the wok. Then you are able to grab your drink before heading up to the registers. After paying you are sent out to the seating area again.

At CS, I have never had problems with buying the food for both my mom and I using DDP credits. Even if it's not busy, which it usually isn't, she grabs a table so that a) I don't have to haul my backpack through the line and b) she has trouble standing so even an extra 5 minutes for not standing helps.
