So how does the private party thing work on the specified days? Do they kick everybody out of the park and they let the ticket holders back in? Or whats the deal? And what goes on at the party beside special fireworks and redecorated rides. I'm thinking about going with the kids but I want to know if its worth it. pirate:

No help on this?? Really? Some of you Dis-Vets have got to know whats the deal and can help a newbie out....:surfweb:

This is the first year they've held the party at Disneyland.. It's always been at California Adventure and then they wouldn't let the party guests in until the park closed.

So that being said, I don't think any of us really know...

I know at WDW when they have Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom they do the same thing... So maybe a WDW vet would know...

I am not going and have never gone, but from reading on the halloween thread i can tell you that what people are saying is you get some sort of wristband indicating you have the special party tickets. CMs will allow those with the wristbands to stay in the park while any stragglers without the party tickets are escorted out of the park.

There are 50 treat stations, where you can go trick or treating and get candy. they will give you a small bag but its wise to bring a bigger bag/backpack to dump your candy into because people in the past have said they got A LOT of candy!

The Halloween fireworks are exclusive to party guests, and Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain are the two rides which have a Halloween-themed overlay, but these are available to all guests all day, not only party guests.

hope i helped somewhat! if you wanna check out the Halloween thread, you can see lots of pictures and get some more info there!

OK, thanks for the info. That actually helps a lot. And I'll be checking that thread out.

I wonder if all the days are sold out or just the 31st....:wizard:

I just bought tickets for the 1st yesterday, so that day is available..

I just looked, and it looks like tickets are available for all of the Mickey's Halloween Party dates - Yay!

And thanks for the info - I was wondering because my ticket says I can enter the park at 4, but the party does not start until 7. Yet again, the DisBoard saves me! :woohoo:

Yeah the parties aren't selling out as quick as usual because they are selling more tickets than they did at DCA...more space at DL :)

I wonder how many tickets they're selling? I hope it's not too crowded, you know?

They have been doing this at WDW for years. People with tickets to the party will be allowed into the park 3 hours before the party starts. They will be given wristbands. When the park closes, CMs will be checking people for wristbands in order to ride rides, get food, watch fireworks, etc. If you don't have a wristband you will be asked politely to leave the park or purchase party tickets at City Hall.

Yeah we've pretty much come to the conclusion around 18,000 tickets per night. Disneyland gets an average of about 65,000 people a day...so no where NEAR busy lol

And isn't it interesting that this year, WDW is not letting people in early for MNSSHP?

It has always happened in the past, at least when we have gone, but I read on a Disney blog somewhere that they were telling people purchasing tickets that they would not get in early this year. :confused3

I've been reading on the DIS WDW thread and Allears that ticket holders are being allowed into the Magic Kingdom for the MNSSHP at 4:00 PM. There was some concern as CMs were telling people prior to the parties starting that they could not get in, but that hasn't been the case. I think, logistically, it will be very difficult to wait until the start of the party to let all the ticket holders in at once.

I think that the plan is on the Tues to allow ticket holders for the MHP party in a 3pm for the 6pm party, and 4pm for the 7pm MHP party on the Friday. We should know some further info on friday night when the first MHP party happens.

It is going to be very interesting on the first night of MHP. I am very looking forward to the Oct 1st. MHP.
