We are on the DDP and was wondering how it worked with a 19 month old. We have two other children that are listed on the plan that are 5 and 6. My 19mo is not listed. So do we have to purchase his food seperately? Sometimes he just eats off of our plates, but I really was worried about drinks, or if we eat something he doesn't care for.

I looked into this as dd will be 18 months when we go. The only way to add a toddler (under 3) on the plan is to pay the 3 year old rate for room and park tickets (this is with free dining) if you are paying for the dining plan you can add your baby on and pay the child price.

What we are planning to do is share with her for buffets/all you can eat and then order a la carte for her off the children's menu if she won't like what we are eating at the restuarants where you order one entree, we are planning to bring sippy cups with juice/milk to the restaurants if we are going from the hotel.

An "under 3" is free at all buffets and family style restaurants. They can get their own plate and own beverage with no charge at these places.

At any place where you order off a menu, you can feed an "under 3" from your own plate at no charge. You can order a kid's meal and/or beverage for them and pay OOP. The cheapest way to handle it is to bring a drink (juice box, etc) for them and let them eat some of your food.

You can put them on the DDP, but you must buy a park ticket also. IF you are doing this, buy only a one day park ticket for everyone. Then, when you arrive you upgrade all the tickets except the child's ticket. Since they don't need a park ticket to get into the parks, you can save the child's ticket for another trip. Everyone on the package must purchase the same ticket at the time of booking. That is why you will choose to upgrade the tickets after you arrive.

Yes, buffets were free for the 2.5 year old on the last trip, and he was able to eat off our plates for other meals. They were pretty good about giving us milk for free for him. The restaurants were very accomodating and an under-3 kid is a realy bargain at WDW--free park admission and free food.

Since you have other shorty's, I may just carry a sippy, and give the baby a little bit of the other 2 kids drink :bitelip:
