How does the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train compare to other coasters in MK?

I'm not a big fan of Space Mtn or EE, but I can handle BTMRR. How does 7 Dwarfs compare to these?

Thanks!

It's shorter and smoother than BTMMRR. It's nothing like Space Mt or Everest

To me it is much smoother and more basic than BTMRR. The cars do swing a bit but I actually think that is what helps it be such a smooth ride. I don't like Space Mountain either - way to jerky. I can do EE but it isn't my favorite - it's right at my "I'm not really enjoying this" point.

I found 7DMT to be tame, very tame. The Barnstormer is more intense...heck primeval whirl is more intense.

Personally, I find 7DMT less intense than Barnstormer, mainly because it seems to be slower and gentler with more gradual turns and declines. It is, however, longer than Barnstormer.

If you're sitting near the front, it's especially gentle. It feels like I'm being slowly lowered down each hill and don't really pick up speed until near the very bottom. At which point I'm soon heading up another hill, so it feels like we slow down almost right away. It's a little bit more exciting in the back, but the ride video/photos are better in the front.

7DMT has narrower seats, as if designed for an adult and a child to sit in each row. For two adults sitting in the same row, it can be cramped.

I'm exactly the same way...no on space and ee and yes on btmrr...I can do mine train with no problem at all (one time the slight swinging made me a little motion sick, but I hadn't eaten, and I need to have food before I ride most anything.) It's much much less than BTMRR.

It's a smooth cute coaster. It's nothing crazy but I love the theming.

Hmmm, okay. So is it worth us using a FP on for four adults who have never ridden it?

Absolutely...we love the theming of the ride and the fact it is so smooth. This ride is a must do every trip to the Magic Kingdom. My suggestion is to ride it during the day and at night. It is an extra special treat get a fast pass during the firework show. We did this last year and it was so magical to have the fireworks going off over our heads.

We all have the same response SMOOTH rollercoaster. I love BTMRR and EE during the day and even better at night but SDMT is very smooth.

I don't think it's worth the standby wait I endured for it (last minute trip, last minute tickets). It's fun, but if it's between any of the mountains and 7DMT, I'd choose the mountains to FP.

If you can do it at rope drop or late at night, it might be a shorter wait and more worthwhile.

Think of a coaster built for 8 year olds. That's the intensity level. After all the chats here I thought I would have more difficulty in getting fast passes but got one for each of our 3 MK days.

Yes! It's definitely not worth the Standby wait, but it's quite delightful if you've got a Fastpass. Also, FPs for this one run out early, while you've got a decent chance of getting almost anything else in the park as your 4th, 5th or 6th FP.

I always make 7DMR a FP priority when I'm choosing my initial 3.
