How does someone who is being held for trial

Absentee ballot?
Special procedures?

I sometimes am too curious.

I would think that if they've been held for a while and within the time frame of absentee, then that's how they vote.

If they are not within that window, I would think that they can't vote. Interesting question, anxious to hear the correct answer.
