I have been to WDW several times and I have never asked about an upgrade. I always take what I am given.

Four weeks from today we will be arriving at the BWI and I was wondering how one goes about asking for an upgrade? Do you say, "What upgrades are available and how much extra will it cost?" or what?

I have read in several threads that an upgrade is almost always a great deal less expensive than what WDTC or CRO quote you. So, I thought I would book standard and see what was available when we check-in.

I won't be disappointed if nothing is available, but I just thought that for my DH and DD, who will be 8 months old, an upgrade to concierge for $60 or so more dollars a night would be great!

Thank you for your responses if you have experienced this upgrade service, and especially if you have at the BWI!;)

I would simply ask, "Do you have any upgrades available?" That way you can leave it to the CM to check and to try to get it for you for free or to tell you how much extra it would be.

We asked about paying for an upgrade from Savannah view to concierge last September and were told it would cost $120. I asked if there were any specials available and was told no, so that was that.

Having said that we got a complimentary upgrade to lodge concierge from Garden view at the GF the night before without even asking, so you never know.
