How does one get a Magic Band?

I'm curious, because I didn't make my reservation through Disney.com but did order my park hopper passes there, how would I go about getting a Magic Band? Is this something I can get at the hotel when I check in?

If you have an onsite hotel reservation that is linked to your MDE account you can go into MDE -> my accounts -> Magicbands and Cards -> scroll to my orders -> select the order for your onsite hotel stay and it will bring up all guests on the room reservation that you can customize a band for.

If you don't they will just give you generic grey bands at check-in.

You can also buy them at nearly every gift shop in the WDW parks, if you wanted to see them in person and customize one. Most stores have dozens of choices in ones that are already in the box, and several places allow you to customize on the spot if you want.

Therefore if you are staying onsite, find/get the Disney confirmation number and link it to your mydisneyexperience account.

I can't link my account yet because my travel agency doesn't have the correct Disney reservation number for me. I have to wait until I get to to the front desk so they can tell me what it is.

You should be able to call Disney and have them look up the proper number for you. If reservations can't IT should be able to.

Actually, I noticed in your signature (as well as in your profile) that you're from Canada - they don't send the bands to Canada, so you'll have to wait until you check in to get them.

And Canadians get shafted again...

Can't even get luggage straight through... as Canadians we HAVE to pick it up at Baggage Claim.

Actually right now Front Desk gave us a choice of colors but they were the old MB style.

This way they can get rid of them all, but who knows, maybe when gone they will still keep an assortment of color.

Should I call the CBR directly? That's where I'm staying.
No call the regular reservation
Line. None of the resort numbers are actually answered by people at the resort. Even if you can't get the shipped (as a fellow Canadian I feel your pain) you can customize them and you should get new ones all ready for you in a box at check-in.

I may have to wait until I get to the hotel then so I can ask them what my reservation number is to link it to MDE.

Your travel agent should be able to get it. If you don't have an MDE account set up until you get there, you won't be able to book FPs ahead of time.

I agree. The TA should be able to get the actual Disney Reservation Number.

They've already told me that this is what they believe the reservation number to be but when I enter the one my TA gave me into MDE, it says it can't find it.
