My husband brought some home for my fruit salad. No idea what to do with them. :confused3

Thank you Bicker!!! Cute video. My husband had the 'very sour' sensation but said the skin was sweet. I told him I thought they were mostly for jelly. He bought about 2 pints worth, lol! Mayhaps we'll have a kumquat eating contest when the family arrives-see if anyone knows to chew and chew.

My DD and I always like to try new things from the produce section so when I came across loose ones one time I just had to get a few of them. Also, had to look up online to see how to eat them and found out that the entire thing is edible. The peel wasn't bad, but the inside was just a little to sour for us. My sister in law actually like them and put them in her iced tea. I know I've seen recipes to make sauces and stuff like that with them, so if they don't work out well for your fruit salad, maybe try something like that.

I am so glad someone posted this. I have seen them my whole life and never knew how to eat them.

I was reading this thread and was :scared1: when I got to the part about eating the skin. Then I realized I was thinking of kiwi, not kumquats. :lmao:
