With places like Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare etc...

I am trying to organise a character breakfast, with Mickey if possible, for our first morning in Florida. One of the resort hotels ideally as we aren't going to MK until the 2nd full day.

I like the look of Ohana's - mainly as we need to cut back on costs - but part of me really wishes we were doing a buffet breakfast!

Do you still get plenty of food at Ohana's? What sort of stuff do you get? Would anyone recommend it over CMs or 1900PF???

Thank you! xxx

We did the breakfast at O'hanas in March. I didn't love it as much as I did the others with a full on buffet. I have not been to Chef MIckeys' or 1900 pf so I can't compare.

The characters were Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey (in a very cute tropical shirt). Those were great.

When you first get there they give you a basket of breads. Some type of coconut breads and sticky breads. They were good.

Also you get a platter of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs. Also a bowl of fruit. and mickey waffles walking around.

I did not care for the food much and actually left hungry a bit. the scrambled eggs just tasted diff here then anywhere else.

In the end I liked it but compared to the full buffets it lacked in my opinion.

I loved crystal palace though :)

We love Ohana's breakfast! With 2 kids its a really nice alternative to a buffet. It's still all you can eat, but it's served family style. No trying to time your buffet runs around character timing!

It's one of the places my kids ask to go back to. Good luck, I'm sure you'll love it. :goodvibes

'Ohana's is our favorite character breakfast & still a must do even for my 15 year old son. I like that they bring the food to you and we found it to be plentiful. They will keep replenishing. Character interaction has always been great, especially with Stitch. And there is just something about the scrambled eggs here ... just love them!

It is our family's favorite breakfast BY FAR!!!! As a PP said, even my almost 15 y.o. son LOVES it!! The characters are great...different costumes than normal (for Mickey and Pluto), fun dancing for the little ones. And....yes the eggs do taste different than anywhere else on property, but sooooooo good!!! Something about them....mmmmmmmm!!! I would say yes...try it! I also like 1900 PF, but this is better!! And, it definitely beat CM's for us!!

I loved Ohana! What a great view to have breakfast at!

The cinnamon bread and pineapple bread were just excellent, very soft and fresh and delish! We were able to get a pressed pot of coffee from Kona, loved everything about it

Would not hesitate to go back there

O'hana's breakfast is a must for our family on every trip. I love the idea of the food being brought to the table, and there is plenty of it. The atmosphere is so relaxing and character interaction is very good. There is a parade with the characters that our grandchildren love to take part in. And of course there are plenty of Mickey waffles.

Generally, I don't like breakfast. But I LOVE breakfast at Ohana.

Granted, I only eat the pineapple bread, bacon, fruit, juice and coffee. (And that's a huge breakfast for me.) But the views of the lagoon, the character interaction and the pure joy of my three boys - that's enough to turn anyone into a breakfast fan! In addition to the all-you-can-eat skillet, they serve Mickey waffles which everyone from my dad to my youngest son absolutely loves.

Also, I don't usually take photos of food. In all my trips to WDW, I've taken one drink picture for the BC board and one food picture. My solitary food photo is of the Ohana breakfast platter:

It's not that this is the best food at WDW. It's just such a fun experience with good food - I had to capture the details at least once!

I tried Ohana 1900 Parkfare and Chef Mickeys and I liked 1900 Parkfare the best, the food was good and the area was sedate and not to loud, but no Mickey. If you can stand noise Chef Mickey is nice. We are going to do it again (my son's food pick) and I enjoyed the food. It was a little loud and a complete different atmosphere than Ohana but it is nice.

My family liked the food at Ohana but I was not to thrilled, the eggs were runny and the food was cold. Service took a while for refills and was not near when you needed it. But that was just me, your mileage my vary. My family had a good time but I would not be so sure to try it again this next trip.

I love Ohana. We went there for breakfast on my birthday last year and we had so much fun. Mickey pulled me and my dad up and danced with us around the restaurant. I'm 37 but still a big kid at heart and this moment is something I treasure! The fruit juice is so yummy, like nothing I have ever tasted before and the bread is great. This one will definatley be on the list when we go back to WDW.
