How does JetBlue board a plane ?

jetBlue boarding:
I don't know if I just had bad Gate Agents or what, but the experience that stands out most is the time when I was in the Extra Legroom seating in the front row (yes, I will pay extra for a seat I never used to - because I need that seat), in a wheelchair - expecting, typically, to be boarded first. Nobody showed up, nobody approached me, no announcement was made about preboarding.

They started loading the Extra Legroom passengers. I wheeled into line with the other special passengers and was sent away before anybody even looked at my boarding pass. There wasn't anyone to push the chair down the jetway, and I wasn't allowed to roll myself :confused3. It wasn't until somewhere mid-boarding that one of the GAs decided it was time to let me board (I was the only passenger on that flight who needed special assistance).

Actually, I had problems at three of the four boardings/debarkings on that trip, although this one obviously is the one that stands out. After a great deal of back-and-forth with jetBlue, I finally got an apology and a promise to retrain the Gate Agents in Boston :rotfl:

I will tell the attendant when we get to the gate we are in row 3 and have an overhead small landsend red duffel bag. I want the bag in the overhead near us - not 10 rows away from us.
I hope they can accommodate our request. ;)

As others have said..they cannot do that. When dh and I went to San Francisco recently (on Jetblue) they were begging people to check their carry ons. In fact, our plane was a little delayed because they had to ask people while they were at the entrance of the plane to please check the bag because there was no more room...and people were STILL giving them a hard time.

Not being rude, but are you new to flying? This is going to get you a somewhat nice response from the gate agent and then a whole lot of eyeball rolling when you walk away. Sorry, but things just don't work that way! The FA's are not going to guard your overhead bin for you!:sad2:

As a PP said, everyone wants there bag near them. If your bag is small enough, then put it under the seat in front of you. I don't understand why so many people are reluctant to do that. We ALWAYS put our bags under the seat. It is so much easier to access your belongings than having to get up and open the overhead bin after take-off. Then you have to open it again to put things away before landing.

No they didn't. The son kept the aisle seat.

Yes he was. Go back and read the OPs post, they carried on the entire flight, she (the mom) could even hear them accross the aisle, she goes on to say, they were still at it getting off the plane.
That young man was being bullied, has nothing to do with keeping his seat.
