I was able to get an 8:15 reservation for the Crystal Palace for our upcoming trip. I am so excited to be in the park before it opens! But, how does it work? I would LOVE to have a picture taken of my husband and I in front of the castle without a lot of people in the background, but will we have time?

Can anyone explain how it works?

Thanks!

Are you staying at a Disney Resort? If so the buses start running at 7am. Depending on which resort you stay at, I would be at the bus stop at 7 am to catch the first MK bus.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we're staying at CSR. I do plan to be at the bus stop early to make sure we're there in time. I guess my question is how early will they let us in the park? Enough time to snap a couple of pictures?

Yes, you should definitely have enough time to snap a couple pictures!! Once you get there, someone should be there letting people with ADR's in, be sure to have your ADR # in case they ask for it. What time does MK open that day? If they open at 8 am they may not let you in until then since it's still 15 minutes early. If they open at 9 am you should definitely be fine.

We have had early breakfast reservations, too. It's very cool!!! And the CP is just a few minutes inside the gates...plenty of time for a quick pic. You'll see a separate line for reservations, and your name will be on the list. I can't remember exactly what the line signage says, but just ask a cm. They'll direct you to the right place. Bring your ADR number just in case, but we have never had any problems.

Weve done it at the MK, AK and HS and were able to get fantastic pictures! There are a few photopass people available, but I took my favorite MK picture in July! The lighting in the morning was awesome. We got in about 15 minutes before our reservation and it was enough time for castle and Walt/Mickey statue shots with little to no people you dont know in the picture moments&. The best photos are on the way to the CP so its really easy. You cannot venture away from the central hub or Main Street at that time, but you dont really need to to get the great pics..

BTW if you finish breakfast at 9am (as the park is opening), you beat the rope drop people and can get to the ride of your choice nearly first and ride or FP! Hence the best kept secret....
